Insta360 has launched the Link 2 series, its next-generation webcam lineup for 2026. The flagship Link 2 Pro arrives with a substantially larger 1/1.3-inch image sensor — significantly bigger than most competitors — capable of capturing 4K video at 30 frames per second with noticeably improved low-light performance and dynamic range.

The physical design centers on a 2-axis motorized gimbal that tracks the subject in real time, keeping the speaker centered in frame even during animated presentations or casual movement around a desk. The AI-powered tracking system can distinguish between the primary speaker and background motion, reducing false triggers that plague simpler tracking webcams.

New gesture controls let users adjust framing, toggle tracking on and off, or trigger a whiteboard mode — which automatically crops and straightens physical whiteboards or screens behind the speaker — without touching a keyboard or opening the companion app. A companion app update rolling out alongside the hardware adds post-capture effects, overlays, and text options for photos taken through the device.

The Link 2C Pro, a more affordable sibling, shares the same sensor but skips the gimbal in favor of a fixed ultra-wide lens with digital zoom and AI reframing. Both models support USB-C with no driver installation required on Windows or Mac.

The Link 2 Pro is priced at $249, with the Link 2C Pro coming in at $149. At a time when hybrid work has made webcam quality a professional differentiator, Insta360 is making a strong case that dedicated webcam hardware still has a meaningful edge over built-in laptop cameras.
